With her son hospitalized, skittish housewife Carol Turner (Valerie Harper) wasn't stopping for anything as she made a wee-hours sprint up the desert highway from Phoenix to Denver. Unfortunately, it made her the sole witness to the roadside shotgun slaying of a state trooper-and the psycho (Richard Romanus) responsible takes off after her in pursuit.
